Take part in our Psoriasis Photoshoot

We’re excited to announce a brand-new photoshoot taking place on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 September in Northampton. 

We welcome participants of all ages and backgrounds with any type of psoriasis. Currently, we are looking for greater representation from the following groups: 

• People with skin of colour 
• Participants aged under 18 and aged 50+ 
• Males
• People living in Northamptonshire and surrounding areas

What will the day be like? 

Expect a relaxed day of natural, lifestyle photography - enjoying a coffee, browsing the shops, walking around the lakes and spending time with friends or family. 

You may also have the chance to share a little about your experience of living with psoriasis on camera - but this is completely optional. 

What makes this photoshoot so important? 

It is widely accepted that there is a lack of ‘real-life’ images of psoriasis available in medical literature and textbooks. 

To address this, our 2024 ‘Psoriasis on the Skin’ photoshoot in 2024 and 2022 Active Lives’ photoshoot were both designed to produce more ‘real-life’ images of psoriasis.  

Subsequent member feedback and the well-received launch of our updated “What is Psoriasis?” leaflet demonstrated the importance of using images of psoriasis in our leaflets and information resources. 

Representation is key to showing that psoriasis is just one part of someone’s story – and using ‘real-life’ images proves that it does not have to stand in the way of doing anything you want to do.
