Launching our ‘Walk and Talk’ initiative in Northampton!
Our 2026 Awareness Week will include Psoriasis UK’s first ‘Walk and Talk’ community event.
We would love it if you could join us on Friday, 30 October 2026:
- Time: 11am – 12.30pm
- Location: Psoriasis UK head office, Dick Coles House, 2 Queensbridge, Northampton, NN4 7BF
Psoriasis UK is delighted to be collaborating with Space2Talk for our first Walk and Talk event. Space2Talk is a local charity providing support through simple, welcoming walks, coffee mornings and conversations.
The event will begin with a short welcome, before we set off on a relaxed, informal walk in the area surrounding our head office. Participants must be able to walk for 1 hour at a slow pace (approx. 2km) or be a wheelchair user with someone who can push up hills if necessary.
The origin of ‘Walk and Talk’
Psoriasis ‘Walk and Talk’ groups were originally developed by researchers at Royal Free Hospital in London. Following the success of their initial study, Psoriasis UK is delighted to be taking the project further, rolling it out across the UK to strengthen the psoriasis community.
Will ‘Walk and Talk’ come to other places in the UK?
Following the launch of the Northampton group, we hope to expand within the Midlands, and eventually, further across the UK. More information will be available at a later date – so keep your eyes peeled!
We’re excited to be launching these groups as a way to connect members of the psoriasis community across the UK. If you have any other questions about ‘Walk and Talk’, please contact mail@psoriasisuk.org.uk.
