It’s World Psoriasis Day!

Today is World Psoriasis Day - which marks the start of our annual Psoriasis Awareness Week.

This year, we will exploring the theme of ‘age’, and how psoriasis affects a person throughout their life.

Over the course of Psoriasis Awareness Week (29 October – 4 November), we will focus on a different ‘life stage’ each day, looking at the potential impact of psoriasis on each. Our campaign will also feature new resources, stories, and community events to raise awareness of psoriasis nationally.

What is ‘World Psoriasis Day’?

IFPA (the International Federation Of Psoriatic Disease Associations) celebrates World Psoriasis Day every year on 29 October, and has done so for over a decade.

Today, World Psoriasis Day is observed in over 70 countries.

This year’s World Psoriasis Day theme is Look Beyond My Skin - empowering young people and encouraging them to speak openly about their experience of psoriasis.

We will be dedicating one of our themed days to teens and young people, while celebrating people of all ages with psoriasis throughout the week.

The ‘local love’ continues tomorrow (Friday 30 October), as we host a pilot of our brand new ‘Psoriasis Walk and Talk’ initiative. We’d love you to join us, and places are still available online via Space2Talk, a local charity we are partnering with for the event.

Other events include an Instagram Live Q&A on Monday 2 November, and our FREE webinar with St John’s DermAcademy on Wednesday 4 November.

Plus, keep your eye on social media for other announcements, stories and resources – and please help us spread the word and raise awareness!
